Spring is on it's way?
Now that easter has arrived I was kind of hoping that spring was also on it’s way. It is still SO cold here in Oxford. I went out for a few hours the other night and the temperature was sitting around 5 degrees.. That's just not right for this time of the year. I am sure I was riding in short sleeves last easter and working on that tan.
Since getting back from NZ things have been pretty quiet on the racing front. I've spent a lot of the time sleeping and just getting over jetlag. It was the worst jetlag i've had in years. I was very spaced out at work for the first week hitting the bed by 8.30pm. It's probably partly to do with the women's tour and the body recovering from 5 hard days racing.
So the road racing season officially kicks off this month with the first road of the Women’s National Team Series. I will still treat a lot of it as block training for the States and Europe but it's going to be cool to have a solid women's team with my felllow Zappites'.
So I hope everyone has had a good break over easter and you got some treats from the bunny. At 29 years old I am still well up for easter egg hunts : )
